  • Review your unit 3 personal assessment of your psychological, physical, and spiritual well-being. Reflect on these areas . How did you score yourself on a scale from 1 to 10 in unit 3? How do you score yourself now? Has the score changed? Why or why not? Well over the last few weeks my health and mental health really has not changed. First of my physical I am still having trouble with my weight, and my mental hasn't changed because last week my best friend of all times my great grandmother had past away at the right old age of 94. She had meant the whole world to me and I always thought she would live forever, my nanny, that is what we called her, but she was the best grandmother anybody could ask for. So the last week has been really hard for me. So as my spiritual has went up a little because of her
  • Review the goals and activities you set for yourself in each area. Have you made progress toward the goals? Explain. Well I do a lot of walking where I work at and I am slowly losing weight but like I have said it is hard for me but also I have been going back in forth in my eating habits, some days I eat good then I don't, but as far as my mental wellness I haven't lately because like I said in the first question, with the loss of my great grandmother, it has been hard and for my spiritual religious I have been doing a lot of praying.
  • Have you implemented the activities you chose for your well-being in each of the three areas? Explain. yes and no, it has been a little busy for me for the last few weeks and I have been hectic for me.
  • Summarize your personal experience throughout this course. Have you developed improved well-being? What has been rewarding? What has been difficult? How will this experience improve your ability to assist others? After doing this course I have learned a lot about myself and learned how to manage my health and well being. It has been some what rough for me to do this, but a least I am trying. It has been difficult for me because I lack the motivation to help me through this but I mange to do this. But what I learn from my actions and my doing I will be able to pass on to others to help them get modivated on working on their health and well being for them selves.

Spiritual Healing

  1. Introduction:
Why is it important for health and wellness professionals to develop psychologically, spiritually and physically? What areas do you need to develop to achieve the goals you have for yourself? It is important  for them to incorporate all of it to in too their practice so they could know the mental status of the patient, but their physical as well and also know their inner self of how they feel or look at them selves. As for me I need help with all of my self, I have been under a lot of stress lately due to my 8 month old nephew needing a heart transplant to job realated issues and recently of my great grand mother's passing. I am trying my best to think positive and try to keep my mind off of those but it is really hard. In order for me to overcome these it will have to take time. but my physical it is hard for me because I have hashimoto hypothyroidism and my weight is up and down. I have been put on an 1200 calorie diet to help me and I feel like it hasn't helped but i will continue to do this diet and some exercise.
  2.  Assessment:
How have you assessed your health in each domain? How do you score your wellness spiritually, physically, and psychologically? On the scale of 1 to 10, my spiritual has been a little down, because I get discuraged of those who diss of what I believe in and it does bother me. but I want let them push me to the breaking point though. So I will give it about an 7. and as for my physical i would say an 5 and my mental state a 6 due to the recent issues I have happened.
  3. Goal development:
List at least one goal you have for yourself in each area, Physical, Psychological (mental health) and Spiritual. for my physical my goal is to really lose weight and keep it off, For my Mental health, I really don't know how to go about that, and as far as my spirituality I will keep practicing my religious beliefs with pride and not let nothing stand in my way of what I believe in.
  4. Practices for personal health:
What strategies can you implement to foster growth in each of the following domains; Physical, Psychological, and Spiritual. Provide at least two examples of exercises or practices in each domain. Explain how you will implement each example.Well for my mental and spiritual i would meditate to keep it balanced and for my physical I would plan a work out regiment to help keep fit.
  5. Commitment:
How will you assess your progress or lack of progress in the next six months? What strategies can you use to assist in maintaining your long-term practices for health and wellness? I will keep a log book of all I do to help me keep track and maintain everything.

Benefits of meditation exercise

Well after doing these exercise's each week was very interesting, but to tell you the truth I really didn't like doing them and I felt like I did not benefit from doing these exercise's at all. Some people it may have helped but not me though. I would integrate some form of meditations. I may use a different way of meditation like the sound of weather or music that is more relaxing.

Current trends

Yeah, while listening to the man talking about waterfalls it made me want to go pee really bad! I apologize for saying that but that is what the first part of this meditation, made me feel, lol! But to be honest with you doing the last few meditation exercises, I was really not in to it. This one, right off the bat, I was not into it because the guy that was talking first, I really didn't like the way he was talking and listening to his voice turned me off of it and then when it turned to the ladies voice it was ok and then I just got to the point where it I actually fell asleep through the thing.

To me the saying  "One cannot lead another where one has not gone himself" is that you should not tell one person or recommend one person to go some where if you have not been there your self. To me its like the saying practice what you preach. I would have an obligation to my patients because as their practitioner or their healer, I would, practice what you preach I always say. It would help them to know that you too practice what you practice.

Universal Love of Kindness

Doing the Loving Kindness and the Integral Assessment are good exercise to do for your mind and body. It is a soothing and calming way to relax for your soul. For me while doing these exercise I learned that I really need to relax more. But I get stressed out between work school, kids and My nephew is so over whelming. Having done them it has helped some.  I love doing these meditation exercises because I suffer from social Anxiety and doing these helps me a lot to relax and helps calm my body and my mind.

Subtle mind exercise

As I listened to this exercise, it is a lot like the Loving Kindness exercise, very peaceful and relaxing. It helped me a lot by realaxing and clearing my mind, I felt of relief lifted of my chest. But it was quite long and it was a very long pause between talking. I really did not like that the women was talking, I preferred a man speaking than a woman.

To me the connection to spiritual to mental and physical wellness is putting it all together by focusing on all three. When you are mediating your clearing your mind and relaxing your body spiritually by ridding of all negativity.  I so meditate when I do my praying to the gods and it is very peaceful and relaxing to clear my mind.

Thank you

Love and Kindness

After listening to this meditation of love and kindness really had no effect on me what so ever. To me it was more of a robotic voice talking than an actual human talking and to me it wasn't soothing at all. I would not recommend it to anyone. It may work for somebody else but just not my cup of tea.

What is the concept of "mental workout"? What does the research indicate are the proven benefits of a mental workout? How can you implement mental workouts to foster your psychological health?

The concept of Mental Workout is to improve your mental status or memory. A workout for your brain, to improve brain function. Research has shown that it helps improve the brain cells in the brain and especially in older people, especially in those who have Alzheimer. You can keep active or read books or to do brain games such as word searches or crossword puzzles just to give a few can help foster your brain.
